"Is Your Diesel Oil Black! Manage Your Soot With Good Synthetic Diesel Oil and Protect Your Diesel Engine"

You have and expensive diesel engine - protect it with synthetic diesel oil!
Diesel engines are a popular choice for hardworking trucks. The oil used in a diesel is different than the oil used in a gas engine and for good reason. If you have ever changed the oil on a gas engine and also on a diesel engine you have noticed one of the biggest differences. Soot! Synthetic diesel oil with premium additives to disperse and control soot can reduce wear and save money for diesel owners and operators.

Diesel oil does what?
Diesel oil has multiple functions in the engine with the primary roles of lubrication, neutralization, and cooling. The lubrication component is obvious, all moving parts of the engine need to be protected from metal to metal contact to reduce wear. Neutralization of the acids formed while the engine is operating prevents the diesel engine from rusting inside to out. The diesel oil also carries heat away from many important components in the engine especially turbochargers and superchargers. Diesel oil is also specially designed to disperse soot and hold it in suspension.

What is wrong with soot in oil?
Put simply, soot clumps up and wears out diesel engines. If soot is not properly handled it can accumulate to obstruct ports and fill in piston ring grooves. Sticking rings and blocked ports can lead to premature engine wear and shortened oil life. Piston rings that are obstructed by soot accumulation will compound the problem of oil contamination by increasing blowby in the cylinder allowing excessive amounts of contaminants into the crankcase and degrading the oil much more quickly. Good synthetic diesel oils contain a healthy quantity of high quality soot dispersants.

Where does soot come from and how did it get in my oil?
Diesel pickup trucks and big rigs are typically running with four stroke compression ignition engines. These diesel engines run much higher compression ratios than similar gas engines, compressing to a pressure and temperature that causes auto ignition when the fuel is injected into the cylinder (no spark required!).

Diesel combustion is not as complete as gas combustion and incomplete combustion in a diesel engine produces soot.

A diesel typically has a peak cylinder pressure twice that of a gas engine. This is demanding on the piston rings to provide proper sealing, and understandably, diesel engines are more prone to piston blowby. Blowby is air, fuel, combustion products, and other contaminants leaking past the seal created by oil between the piston ring and the cylinder wall. Blowby contaminates the oil in the crankcase.

Diesel engines are prone to producing soot in the cylinder and diesel engines are more susceptible to piston blowby. Therefore good diesel oil must be designed to handle the soot and contaminants introduced by this blowby.

What do dispersants do?
Dispersants in diesel oil help maintain free ring movement and carry contaminants in suspension keeping ports open and critical internal diesel engine surfaces clean. A high performance synthetic diesel oil will contain high levels of dispersants.

The Total Base Number and diesel engine protection
Synthetic diesel oil additives are provided to significantly elevate the PH of the oil. An alkaline environment neutralizes acids introduced into the oil by the engine minimizing corrosion. A good synthetic diesel oil will have a high Total Base Number or TBN indicating its ability to neutralize acid. A synthetic oil with a high TBN number oil will outlast a low TBN number oil on time and miles.

Diesel engines have high compression which means a heavier block, heavier pistons, heavier rods and or more metal for the same horsepower as a gas engine. This means diesels engines have a robust design design compared to gas. That’s why diesel engines love it when you hook it up and pull!

Lyle Reinier, Mesa, AZ
Reinier drives a 2004 Dodge Ram. He uses Synthetic 5W-30 in the engine, Synthetic Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid in the transmission and 80W-140 Long Life Gear Lube.

“Good synthetic oil has given this truck life that it was hiding before,” said Reinier. Reinier said the Ram now pulls stronger and runs smoother than it did before. He made the switch to synthetic when the truck hit the 3,000-mile mark. “What comes as a surprise to me is that my Dodge dealer had no problem doing a complete drain and fill with the synthtetic oil I brought in,” said Reinier.

Reinier said the dealer removed all the Dodge transmission fluid and refilled the truck with synthetic ATF. “Within a mile or two I could feel the transmission was smoother and showed a difference in how it performed,” said Reinier.

Guy Keast, Rantoul, KS

"I had heard a lot of good things about your synthetic motorcycle oil used in Harley Davidsons, so I decided to try it out in my 2001 Heritage Softail with the Evolution Series Twin Cam Engine. I noticed right away that the top end of the engine quieted down and on the hot days I run 12-15 degrees cooler than all the guys I’m riding with. I don’t sell your oil, but I recommend it after the improvement it made in my Bike."

Ted Pickul, Sarasota, FL

Pickul drives a 1992 Geo Prizm with unusually high miles. As of February 2005 the Prizm had over 362,000 miles on only 15 oil changes and 31 filter changes. Pickul credits synthetic oil products with extending the life of his car’s engine.

Pickul bought the Prizm new in June of 1992 and after 3,000 miles, converted it to 10W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil. Pickul also installed a 2-Stage Air Filter.

“In November 2003 with 329,000 miles on the engine, I drove the car from Sarasota, Fla., to Carbondale, Ill., without stopping,” said Pickul. “The 13-hour trip was a true tribute to the synthetic oilization of this vehicle.”

The Prizm has a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine that has had no major problems. The valve cover was removed at 360,000 miles and it was exceptionally clean.

Eric Pool, Kansas City, Mo

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that before I changed my oil I checked the average miles per gallon on my wife's Pontiac Montana via the on board computer and she was getting 18.1 miles per gallon. I then changed her oil to your synthetic and installed the your air filter and just let her continue driving it. I checked it about 3 months later and her average miles per gallon had risen to 21.1. So she gained 3 miles per gallon switching to your synthetic oil.

Never change your oil again and save your diesel engine.
Good oil and excellent filtration means never change your oil again. More information to follow, check back.

All products have been designed and made in the USA since 1972. That means the 25,000 mile oil change has been around for over 30 years with an excellent track record. This manufacturer has quality as a number one priority and develops all of its products to assure value is created for their customers. That’s my kind of company.

Upgrading to a good synthetic motor oil is easy. If you are looking to run your engine cooler, smoother, and for a long time you can order synthetic oil and filters online. I know finding the right oil and filter is for your vehicle is difficult enough at the auto parts store and spending a lot of time searching through a website for your specific parts is probably not very appealing.
